What Is IPL Lumecca?

FDA-approved and safe, IPL Lumecca is an intense pulsed light laser on the Optimus platform used to treat sun damage, veins, age spots, skin texture and tone, rosacea, and acne. Ideal treatment is done during the fall and winter, so you will not be exposed to direct sun 2 weeks before or after treatment.

How Long Does IPL Lumecca Last?

Each patient is different. Melanin will continue to be produced in your body, especially with sun bathing. Treatment may need to touched up each year or every other year depending on several patient factors.

Is There Downtime After IPL Lumecca?

There is no true downtime required, however you should expect a bit of swelling, slight redness, and "coffee ground" flakes in your treated areas. To prevent excess swelling, we recommend avoiding heavy exercise, salty foods, alcohol, and sleeping face down the same night as your appointment. Icing the area will help to reduce swelling and ease any sensitivity. As your skin begins to flake off the hyperpigmentation, you should avoid any self tanner, scrubs, picking and scratching. Let the flakes fall off on their own!

Once I Start IPL, Can I Stop?

Of course. Treatment does not need to be continued if you are satisfied with your result. It is not requirred to continue treatment year after year if you have done one treatment.
